Laura Williams GIF | Planning and Production

Laura Williams Inspired GIF

I wanted to create a GIF that would link to Williams's work as I feel that the collaboration of her characteristics along with the animation would work very well. The idea for this animation was to have the models hand peer out from the side of a tree to create that supernatural illusion which I have already done in my previous work. The difference in editing would be that instead of capturing one background image, you take enough to produce a GIF.

I want to experiment with different surroundings and will be shooting this Laura Williams GIF in the City of London, which is contrasting from my work in the Forest.

The Equipment I will use for this shoot will be my tripod and all my lenses as im not sure what focal length I am going to use until i figure out the exact spot.

After the shoot

The place in which I shot the animation was in Potters field park which over looked the river. the spot took us by surprise as we was eating lunch when we discovered that where we were was going to be a great spot as there were trees in the foreground and city buildings in the background. to get a similar outcome to my digital photographs. I had some trouble shooting at the first spot I originally chose. this was because I was stopped by security for using a tripod which apparently isn't allowed.

once I had photographed the photo containing the model and the background photos I imported them all into Light room so that i could begin the editing process. the alterations I done were mainly decreasing the temperature and exposure so that I could create that cold and frozen effect that I had used in previous experimentation as as a link to the Netflix series "Stranger things". After I had synced the edit to the other 50 photos i then imported 49 of the background photos into a stack within Photoshop, leaving the remaining photo on its own as I would have to use the magnetic tool to cut out the models hand from the tree.
