I feel that this animation represents Uelsmanns work well as it has similarities that you would find in his photographs. starting with colour and shadows the use of increasing the blacks have allowed the rocks to become more contrasting from the rest of the image and have enabled them to stand out within the piece. The composition of the images was also put into consideration as I wanted to have the the majority of the rocks sit in the vertical line on the golden ratio, which has been achieved successfully. I also wanted to include the mountain in the background as it gives a similarity to some of Uelsmanns surreal photos. the settings for the photos were taken at 1/1000 F8 at ISO 1600 . which gives each photo a crisp picture of the water as it crashes into the rocks. the reason for the high ISO is because I wanted to resemble a film camera as much as possible so I wanted to increase the images noise so it created a grainy film effect. one thing that I should of been careful about is that the line between the water and the land isn't straight. this is due to a slight imbalance on the tripod. to improve on this for next time, I can use the cameras metering system or use a basic bubble level on the tripod.
